You’ve been creating content because some expert said you had too.

But you’ve been doing it on and off…

You try to push through, but in the end you’re just winging it every single week, with no clear direction or content strategy.

You hate this whole process and I know that if you’re truly honest, you wish you could just do without it…

So why are so many experts, including yours truly, talking about the importance of content, but yet it seems so confusing and overwhelming?

Is it really worth it to figure out this whole “content marketing” hoopla?

Well, the thing is,

CONTENT = SALES

Now, hold on a minute. There are exceptions to the rule.

Yes, you can make sales without having any kind of content out there.

And here’s a perfect example:

You can go into Facebook groups and offer a solution for people asking for a help in your area o expertise. You comment on their post, exchange PMs, and take it from there to close the sale.

So you didn’t post, you didn’t share anything. Nobody knew what kind of business you have and what kind of services you provide. You simply saw the need that was out there, you reached out and were able to actually make that sale.

So yes, it’s possible to make multiple sales without any kind of content out there. 

 

But…

 

Here’s the caveat.

If you want to make CONSISTENT SALES, you MUST put your content out there.

Why?

Because in the first case you’re depending on what people are posting and saying they need. You are on the receiving end, and at the mercy of people’s public cry for help.

Instead, you want to be proactive. You must take the initiative to put your content out there, increase your chances for people to know, like, and trust you and to reach out to you before you even reach out to them.

In the first scenario you’re following one possible lead, but in the second case, you are creating multiple leads.

Even if you’re not selling anything, you’re out there, and people are seeing what you’re all about. They can follow you, they can “stalk you” (in a good way), get to know you, get to know what you’re all about, and whenever you put your offer out there, they’ll be the first ones to say, “Hey, I’m interested” or “Tell me more about this program.”

 

If you’re reading this blog post, my guess is that you want to have consistent sales in your business. You’re building a sustainable business that allows you to make sales on a consistent basis without being on social media 24/7.

Your ultimate goal, as an online entrepreneur is not to have your business run your life but the opposite.

You crave it…

The freedom…

The flexibility…

This is why you do what you do.

Remember that.

Your content is working out there on your behalf while you sleep, you eat, and travel too!

At the end of the day, you must, must, must put your content out there. It has to be relevant, it has to be done right. It has to be done. That’s it.
